Advanced Imaging Facilities
A CT (Computed Tomography) scan uses rotating X-rays and a computer to build cross‑sectional and 3D pictures of your pet’s body. Compared to normal X‑rays, it lets us see much more detail inside the head, chest, tummy and bones.
We usually suggest a CT scan when your pet’s problem is more complicated, or when we need very accurate information before surgery.
Chronic sneezing, nasal discharge, tooth root abscess or any trauma, swelling, tumours
Airway disease, lung masses
fractures, congenital deformities, lumbosacral disease
Masses, organ changes, urinary stones
Assessing tumour size and spread
For safer, more precise surgical decision-making
For CT scans, your pet needs to stay very still. Most dogs and cats will need sedation or general anaesthesia so we can get clear images in a short time.
Before we go ahead, our team checks your pet’s overall health and may suggest blood tests, especially for senior pets or those with existing conditions. This helps us choose the safest plan.
On the day of the scan, we will:
We know leaving your pet for a procedure can be worrying. Our team will walk you through each step and let you know when your pet is ready to go home.
Here’s a simple overview of how a typical CT scan visit usually goes.
We say hello to you and your pet, do a physical exam and make sure your pet is fit for sedation or anaesthesia.
Your pet is gently positioned on the CT table. The scan itself is quick and painless — most of the time is spent getting them safely prepared.
Images will be interpreted by imaging specialist abroad for a detailed report
We explain the findings and talk through treatment options, further tests or surgery if needed.
Most cases your pet goes home the same day and there is no need for hospitalization.
The price depends on which part of the body we are scanning, whether contrast dye is used and what type of sedation your pet needs. We will always give you a clear estimate before you decide.
If extra procedures or surgery are recommended after the CT scan, we will discuss options and costs with you first — no surprises.
